Lodg eCrest

In March of this year Lodge Scoon and Perth Number 3 were to host a special meeting where The Grand Master Mason and many of his reigning Provincial Grand Masters were to perform a third degree on one of the lodge members. Due to the popularity of the event and for health and safety reasons the lodge decided to request that those members and visitors attending the meeting book and pay for their harmony tickets in advance. When the event was cancelled due to Covid-19 almost all the brethren who had prebooked very kindly requested that the funds be donated to Prostate Scotland.

The Lodge is hugely grateful to the generosity of all of those brethren who have enabled a cheque for £600 to be donated to Prostate Scotland and would like to express the greatest of thanks to all of them.  It is worth noting that since the outbreak of Covid-19 so many charities have seen a huge reduction or total absence of donations due to the swing of emphasis being refocused onto Covid related charities. (It is hoped that this donation will help mitigate the negative impact which Covid-19 has had on Prostate Scotland fund raising.)  The lodge is therefore delighted to be able to make a donation to The Grand Master Mason's charity due to the generosity of so many brethren out with the lodge.

The cheque is being presented in the photograph by The Master of the Lodge to Mrs Dawn Oliff in The Grand Hall at Freemasons' Hall, 96 George Street, Edinburgh. Dawn is the Homes and Charities Manager for The Grand Lodge of Scotland and has worked at Grand Lodge since 1984. Thanks must go to the official photographer for the day, our Grand Tyler, Brother Clark Wilson!
